Hello,
My name is James Shackleford and this is my website... kinda.
I largely dismantled everything, as you can see. This is
easier to maintain.
Currently, I am a Ph.D candidate at Drexel University where I
work on GPU accelerated medical image processing with
Dr. Nagarajan Kandasamy. My research manifests itself as contributions to the
plastimatch
project, which is a deformable image registration toolkit for
medical images.
Plastimatch was started by Dr. Greg Sharp
at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Consequently, despite
being located in Philadelphia, the vast majority of my work
is performed in collaboration with Harvard Medical in Boston.
I enjoy developing web applications as a hobby in my spare time. This
is something I have been fiddling with since I was in my early teens.
Most of my web apps have been designed for internal use only
and were, therefore, never open to general web traffic.
Site Knocker is a recent creation of mine,
which is an application designed for monitoring the status of the Internet.
As usual, the entire site was developed using only a text editor. It's
mostly PHP with a little bit of SQL and AJAX thrown in for good measure.
